Taking the original PC only version of Plants Vs. Zombies posed several interesting challenges. Much of the original PC art was not ready for the iPhone 4 screens or the original iPad. The smaller form factor of the iPhone also provided new challenges in both input and game play UX. The console version for XBOX 360 also required considerable refactoring in the control input and proved to be a successful console version.
Most if not all of the important information about an enemies strength and abilities is easily glanced by looking at their heads. With this in mind one of biggest changes I made was increasing the zombie heads by ~15%. This was carried over into PVZ 2 across the board.
